embodied love (36” x 36”)
Artwork size
36” x 36”
Description
acrylic mixed media on canvas. includes pastels, pencils, crayons, acrylic markers and a tiny bit of glitter.
i painted this during a very difficult season of health problems. just standing at the easel was a challenge. and i picked this palette of bright joyful color to lift my heart. while i painted, i meditated on these wise words:
“the doubt, the aloneness, the discomfort, and even the agony of a life torn apart by suffering become the canvas to display the stunning work of God uniting us to Himself. The Spirit takes the substance of a life spread thin by suffering and makes it a canvas on which the colors of God’s embodied love turn from dull red to vibrant crimson through encountering the Son of God stricken.” -kj ramsey, this too shall last
